Skincare while at home

Updated: Oct 7, 2020

With a lot of people stuck at home and the salons not open due to Corona virus this is the perfect time to give your skin some TLC. Here are 5 top tips to keeping your skin clean and clear...

1 - Drink lots of water. This is probably the most important thing to keep doing to achieve clear glowy skin. By drinking lots of water you will be hydrating the skin and flushing out any bad toxins, i know its hard at a times like this when we are not on the go but try to keep a bottle with you so you remember.

2 - Remove makeup daily. I find using a facial wash a lot more effective than using makeup wipes, since i have been doing this i have found my skin a lot fresher. This is important to do to remove all dirt and makeup to prevent clogged pores.

3 - Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise. With many of us at home sometimes our usual skin routine can go out the window, even if you haven't applied makeup in the day it is still best to cleanse, tone and moisturise before you go to bed. Throughout the day we touch our face and gather dirt without even realising it so make sure this is done morning and night.

4 - Eat well. Our diet plays a big part in how our skin is behaving so really try to eat clean to avoid breakouts. Try drinking green tea or warm water with a slice of lemon to help detox and flush the body out of any toxins.

5 - Wash your makeup brushes. This is one that many people forget (even myself) and can be one of the main spreads of spots. Best way to clean your brushes is to use hot water and washing up liquid - they do the same job as brush cleaners.

I hope this has been helpful and you are all keeping on top of your skin routines. Hopefully KJ Cosmetics will be open again in the near future and we will see you all soon. x
