SEMI-PERMANENT EYEBROWS

In recent years micropigmentation has become one of the hottest beauty trends in the world.

Applying a semi-permanent eye brow line frames the face and draws attention to your eyes.

KJ Cosmetics in Bradfield, Reading offer a choice of Hairstroke or Ombre Semi-permanent brows to achieve the look you desire.

Semi-Permanent Hair Stroke Brows

This is a cosmetic technique similar to tattooing where semi-permanent pigment is put into the dermal layer of the skin to create the look of makeup in this case hair strokes.

It is carried out by a fully trained consultant using a machine and an ultra-fine needle to give effective natural results. It is done in two stages, the first procedure and then a top up 4-6 weeks later.

The hair stroke method differs to microblading as it uses a much finer needle than the microblading straighter effect and we can achieve a much more natural result.

Semi-Permanent Ombre Brows

Ombre eyebrows are sometimes called powder or shaded brows. Ombre gives a soft shaded brow pencil look.

Instead of hair stroke brows where we create each hair stroke individually, ombre brows are created by shading. This allows us to get a soft but bolder look for those who prefer a thicker, more makeup-styled image.

Using this different technique, we can create soft, lighter fronts to the brow which gradually get darker and fuller towards the tails giving the ‘ombre’ effect.

Semi-Permanent Eyebrows

With so many brow options it can be hard to find the perfect treatment. Microblading, tinting, HD brows and Ombre products are all on offer, making perfect brows accessible to everyone. Semi-permanent eyebrows can add thickness and length or deeper colour and shading.

Don’t worry if you have overplucked or have very thin hair, the semi-permanent brow is drawn on carefully and we agree the look before anything is tattooed, this will give a defined brow and help you keep to the area for a well-maintained appearance.

For other ladies, dealing with hair loss can be one of the most distressing parts of an illness. Our treatment is particularly suitable for you and will define your brows using special techniques to build up and create the natural look that you desire.

Your initial treatment is followed up 4-6 weeks later with your free top-up to ensure you get exactly the emphasis you like.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take for semi-permanent brows to be done?

We usually allow 2 and a half hours for each client. Before the first treatment a thorough consultation will take place to understand what you are looking for and what we will do throughout the procedure. When we do the top up treatment 4-6 weeks later this is usually quicker than the first.

What should I do before a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment?

  • Avoid alcohol for 24hours
  • Do not take ibuprofen for 24hours
  • Do not wax thread or tweeze the area
  • Make sure you have done your patch test

How long does it take for semi-permanent brows to heal?

Semi-permanent brows take 4-6 weeks to heal which is when we will do the top up treatment. Over the first week of healing you may experience some dryness and itchiness in the brow treatment area, however a cream is given to you to apply daily. It is important to not touch or pick the eyebrow area to avoid infection.

Can you go in the sun after a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment?

After any semi-permanent makeup tattoo you should avoid direct sunlight and sunbeds for 30 days. This will cause the pigment to fade and change the look of how the treatment has been done. Even after the area has healed, we strongly advise you to put factor 50 on the area when in direct sunlight to avoid further fading.

How long will my semi-permanent eyebrows last?

Semi permanent brows can last for several years depending on your skin tone. Depending on how bold you like your look you may choose to have a colour boost top up, this will keep your brows looking fresh.
